I tinted a Mercedes G55 Amg this summer and the owner lives in Michigan. He wants his front windows retinted darker and wants me to come there to do it :lol2 I have to admit I'm a little flattered and excited about doing it. I suggested I could find someone over there but he says he wants me to do it and they offered a really good compensation deal. I don't think I should pass it up since it is an important customer and it would be a great suprise to take my wife to Windsor for her birthday this weekend. Does it sound crazy for two windows and would you do it?

if you dont mind doing mobile work, go for it. talk to him about the advantages of the film and see if you can get the job to tint his house. any work is worth the time. plus if you want to take your wife there, it gives you an excuse. remember you are going to take her there, and the tint is just a bonus. dont tell her you draggin her along while you tint. haha

Thats a good idea, maybe he'll need his house done someday :lol2 The trip to Windsor will be before the job and we'll stay overnight so she should be ok with it, hopefully :lol2

I think Michigan can have any % I'll have to check before I go, it is legal for Ohio though. Does any one know if you need a passport to get into Canada?

Sounds like a "working" vacation. The best kind!! Hopefully the tint will cover most of the costs. If my wife wanted to go, YEP! I'd do it!! :lol2

I drove 2 1/2 hrs to PA to do a flatglass job and ended up with three more in the coming month or two. Lucky for me it was my hometown and was able to visit with friends/family while there and stayed for free... The oly way I would travel for two windows is if he paid me minimum $500.00 But that is just me...
