Free estimates jobs

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

I just wondering how do you offer your free estimates. You know for estimates you need to travel to the customers's place, take the measurement and produce a quote.

Do you left the customer with a details measurement and the price or just the average total sq feet of glass and price?

because if you left all the information this will alot of info for him to shop in others company.

what is your rule?

I have notepads with my information on them that I write my notes on then I put the price and film information on the next page and give them the notepad. I use to give complete info but they don't need to know it all.

The only thing the customer needs to know is the price and the film you are providing. Handing them measurements and square footage is just giving your competiton to be more lazy and under bid.

:thumb:rollin You are so correct.

:spit When I get a call from someone wanting a estimate, I know I ask if they have the measurements or sq.footage!

So I know the compition ask's this same thing!!! Make em work for it!

always leave the measurements and have never ever had a problem

the only thing you forgot to add to the end of your statement was "yet" or "that I know of". Of the jobs you never got, how many do you think your competition quoted over the phone and stole out from under you?? Leaving measurements or square footage on your quote pretty much means your competition will get the job. If they dont have to drive out to quote, they can certainly undercut you. :thumb
