Personally I'm not its just not worth the can of worms you open up. As I have heard on here many time that ALL installers have illegal tint whats the big deal. Well everyone that I know does not ME included. I love dark tint but can't have it in my state so 35% is whats on all my rides. :twocents

Are you willing to put 20% or 5% on the front sides? what are the possible repurcussions? is it worth it for the risk?

Why not just go rob a bank ??? :blah:lol2

If you're gonna break the law, make some real money !!! Afterall, it's just like slingin' illegal tintz, it's only illegal if you get caught... right ??? :thumb:krazy:twocents

I am NOT slamming you A1, I just think it's not worth it ...

These threads usually go south pretty quick as this is a topic beat to death. Since different members are from different States and countries , your going to get different answers that do not really matter when it comes right down to it.

Here's my advice that should be able to be universally applied from someone that's been in the biz a long time:

Know what the law is for YOUR AREA and stick to it. You'll have competition tinting darker than you will..this is just a weakness of the tinter desperate that they cannot get business in a legitimate matter..they are afraid of not being able to make ends meet if they cannot tint illegally . Eventually most of these places will go out of business over time , don't sweat it . Spend time on sales pitches and tactics on how to convert a wannabe illegal customer into a law abiding one instead. I've done this many times over..this way you save the sale and you did the right thing according to your local law. I won't lie to you ..you will lose some potential customers..let the illegal tinters get them..this frees your time up for the god custy's :twocents

I can say, and say proudly that I've turned down at LEAST a dozen jobs in the last 2 days wanting illegal shizzz, and I can also say proudly that I've only done 5 jobs in the last 2 days, and all were LEGAL :lol2 I'm sure I made some hacks day, but I can sleep @ night w/o worries :lol2

Good on the both of ya, and everyone else out there that is trying to maintain a level of dignity and responsablity to the craft of auto tinting.! :lol2

Seems to me that more and more less than 'socially conscience' shops keep popping up. Big ups to you guys for holding your ground while still turning some $$.
