Got another one of those....

Recommended Posts

"I want to see out but don't want people to se in" I got a call from a lady in a corporate office complex wanting one of their conference rooms to be tinted. There are 16 panes 3' X 2' and they don't want people looking in during meetings but still want to be able to see out. They say people in the meeting get distracted by other office workers walking by. I was going to suggest Optune 05 but since there will be lights in the conference room this may not work too well. I am going to look into maybe some Frost designs or some LLumar Designer series stuff. I know this has been discussed before but what has everyone done to solve this issue?

Install white frost with an inch border around all sides

If they are interested in a frost, that's what I would suggest. I really like the look of having a border.

You could get creative and cut patterns out of the frost.. maybe the company logo or something.

Yeah I was looking through some of the designer films in LLumar's book and liked some of the frosted square designs. I have a sh!t load of frost left over from another job that is already paid for, so I am hoping to persuade them to use frost and some sort of hand cut wavey or bordered design. A little birdy texted me to use silver 20 and 5% auto. Which would work but double the install time. Please baby Jesus let them pick white frost...lol

I'd rather do a double install on solar, than hand cut frost :rollin

I did an install like the top one on a shop front once. Looked amazing, but it took 45 mins to lay the film and another couple of hours to hand cut. I used a giant set square my friend had. It did look good though. If you get the ratio right, it can be one way vision.

I lighter frost to opaque the view.

Or install a designer style opaque film

I agree with TINIT, If the people in the meeting are being distracted by passersby, why would they want to be able to see out? Sounds kinda like they don't know what they want. I did a room at a law firm in frost patterns. People giving depositions were getting distracted by outside movement. They came to me just like your custy, wanting to see out, but not in. :eyebrows
