Ammonia window cleaners

Window cleaners with ammonia; (windex) will they keep the tint from adhering properly is used before installation? I was told to use spraway instead...

IMO window tint and Ammonia shouldn't even be in the same sentence together unless your talking about removal of old tint .

Over time it's hard on the film used as a cleaner ..using it as a prep.. probably all right except you'd want to make sure you got rid of 100% of it B$ applying fresh tint..best off not using it

And ammonia isn't the healthiest thing to expose yourself too on a regular basis.

So then what glass cleaner do you guys use? I'm sure everybody has a preference... And is it best to get it from your supplier or from a Costco or Sam's Club or whatever you have nearby? I've been using some foaming stuff that doesn't have any ammonia in it, I can't remember the name off hand, but it's not dirt cheap....

I dont use glass cleaner I use my slip

I use a dirt off / foamer combo myself ..a soap solution /alcohol will work as well

Oh ok... I've read some use their slip, but I wasn't sure if that would be harsh enough to get all the crap off the window initially.
