ok to heat shrink back glass with vinyl lettering?

got a suv with vinyl lettering on the back. wondering from you sign guys or tinters experienced with vinyl if heat shrinking will affect the vinyl. or what method I should use here.

I just personally shrink over it like it was never there, it annoys me but it is what it is

It will make a little difference. Depends on the size of the sticker. That shouldn't be that hard on a suv.

take a piece of scrap tint and cut it to fit over the vinyl, cover the vinyl up all nice an smooth with the scrap piece then put yo tint papa on. It helps make the vinyl less sharp at the edge. Works fo me. Someone else posted it up here eons ago.

I have done cars with vinyl graphics on the rear glass. It shouldn't damage the vinyl. I would go as easy on the heat as possible over the vinyl though. Good luck!
