back Window Matrix

Recommended Posts

I have seen cars with the back window matrix coming several inches down from the top of the back window, and the film only goes up part of the way on the matrix, it looks like crap.

The Ford Fusion comes to mind, sanding the matrix works ?

Some people sand them, some glue them and some vinyl them, most with good results. Some cut the film short on them and IMO it looks like a (Hack) did it. Try the first three methods mentioned and stick with the one you like. :dunno

Just make sure you don't try to sand the dot matrix if there is an antenna line that runs through it. Your customer will hate you for messing up the radio reception and replacing a back windshield is not cheap.

Spray painting it could work but you really have to tape up everything really well and use drop cloth over the seats otherwise you will get over spray.

Spreading some glue stick is not that good of a solution as that glue does not hold up well to heat and will basically melt.

Installing Vinyl would be the best solution.
