I've never bagged residential glass or used simple green for film removal. does it work well? I'm assuming you're not using a black bag(absorption?).

Don't use black bags, use old liners. Save the large liners from previous jobs to use on removals.

Be careful if it is in direct sunlight on dual pane glass, dont leave it on too long. Simple green is kinda greasy...someone posted something about using AWESOME, the stuff you can get at the dollar store. I would definitely try just peeling from one of the corners. Dont get too worked up about it. Make sure you have a 6inch scraper and use stainless steel blades in it (easier).
