feel dumb for asking....but...

Recommended Posts

what kind of water do you guys use for installing PPF and window tint? Read an article not to long ago about film failure due to using tap water with a high PH level? Have we been tinting wrong all these years or ??????? Should we be using distilled water? Feel stupid for asking, but really would like to know!

Yes, obviously R.O. or distilled water is best, filtered after that.

From what I understand, R.O. or distilled water will not have any minerals in it and therefore allow you to use less slip.

Obviously the less things that come in contact with the adhesive the better.

I have debated on buying a distiller, but I figure what good is a distiller that doesn't make whiskey?

Watch out for the pipe cheese! We use tap water from Southern California which is full of lime. Never had a problem except for the pipe cheese. :rollin
