My brother is in the vegas tintoff :) But they don't provide a peel board, they said sure you can use one if you bring it :rollin Don't think he can take a sheet of glass on the plane. Anyhow it can be done off the car but that sux compared to a peel board any good ideas on making something once he gets there?

im here now. they wont let us judges watch while they are tinting for favoritism. but ask about that peeler. he uses a small plexi that can be wedged n the door jam. as far as the iwfa standards, we are judging almost everything, meaning cleanlines of the actual car after the installation, so if you peel off the car you may leave too much water on the car and floor.

oh the lb bros are here. havent talked to them much but will do. not many photo opportunities cuz im in an office.

its one of my guys I brought up from murrieta.

judging was kind of weird. the IWFA standards makes it wack.

judging was blind so we couldnt watch the tinters so it was kind of boring. we sat in a room and they let us know when the car was done.

out of 25 points you could only deduct -3 max for dirt/lint/hair. so regardless of how dirty, you could only deduct so much. a lot of points were for exterior of car, interior of car. streaks on glass. swept up work area, water on floor.

the only major deductions you could dock were for light gaps, hanging film, and film not below the rubber.

so cuts and positioniong was the major factor. oh also cleanliness of the entire job after. your windows could be dirty as hell, but the car was supossed to look detailed when you were done.
