exterior sloped application

I am not trying to hog up the topics but I am getting all of these strange requests today. I have (48) lites 24 x 68 twelve stacked on top of twelve on 2 sides with 3/4" mulliums with caulking . would it be a good application to block cut the film with a 1/4" gap from the edge of the caulk ? I do not want to be responsible for leaking if I were to cut the caulking.

With exterior film you'll have to caulk the edges (usually dow 795) to seal them for the warranty to be valid.
