SPD Updates Its Fleet Of Police Cruisers with Tint

copwithtint.jpg

Officer Ray Rossy with the Sebring Police Department shows one of the three new vehicles that the department acquired this week...The cars cost the city $19,300 each..."We tint them because of the computers and the heat," Morris said. "This year we're transferring equipment, radios, shotgun rack, computer stand and the video systems."

Gary Davis, with Solar Plus, said Wednesday that the company has a fixed price with the city. The company, owned by Mark Wright, has been operating in Sebring about 23 years.

"Even if you came to us with three cars, we would work out a better price," Davis said.

And window tinting doesn't take long to do.

Not in California.

Friend of mine is a ham radio operator , and back in the good olde days (Clinton/Gore) when people were actually having heterosexual s*x in the whitehouse, he monitored the audio (two way) of an interesting traffic stop involving a CHP officer in Los Angeles pulling over a Secret Service SUV with !llegal tint.

It was the contention of the California Highway Patrol that law enforcement is not exempt from that particular law and the secret service agent did not offer evidence to the contrary. The SS agent did however speed off leaving the CHP officer with his dick in his hand.

BTW I have never voted for a democrat in my life, so don't anyone get their p@nties in a bunch over me picking on the Bin Laden and Saudi Royal Familys' pet monkey aka "W". :tantrum

even if they aren't exempt... which I belive they are where I am... not too many cops around here would write any ticket with the presentation of a badge bc it would just be a waste of paper. cop gets ticket, phones friend, tickets pulled.. at least thats how it works here
