is there ever a reason to use the low setting on the heat gun?

We will switch between low and high on more difficult shrinks... sometimes shrinking slower seems to allow the film to shrink more and more evenly (IMO)....

but for most back glass it's cranked to inferno and go! :evilgrin

If you work with ceramic films, you might use the low setting so it doesn't overheat the film and cause excessive ghosting.

Is ghosting when the film becomes less transparent?

this is ghosting. this is ceramic. you wanna heat the entire area instead of each finger individually.

be my guest. I have no copywrites on this photo.

as a consumer, I'm wondering.... is it better to stretch the side windows, or shrink them?

stretching thins the film, no? that's not good?

using high heat and just backing the gun away for less heat on the glass. anyone shrink certain BGs with low heat setting?

Only for a quick warmup of my coffee cup and to cool the gun down :dunno
