is there ever a reason to use the low setting on the heat gun?

yeah. I'm just a regular consumer/customer.

no. I don't want to get into the biz, and no, I don't want to tint my own car.

The more heat the better/faster/smoother shrink.

I would go low for side door designs or to be rid of after application water finger.
