My name's Dave, I'm from Ontario Canada.

I've been working in and around windows for 7 years now. I currently run a 14 man commercial window cleaning opearation.

I've made the decision to start tinting windows to blunt the seasonality of our operations.

We've done a pretty kick ass job marketing our business and consider ourselves a sales company first.

In that respect I think I can add to the help here.

However, I don't know a thing about the window tint industry. So I'm hoping to learn from guys here.

I hope that there will be some principles that cross industries, and that I can be of some help to everyone.

Good to be here, looking forward to helping out

-Dave

welcome. :rollin good luck learning.

if you've ever played golf, you know that you can learn alot about patience and anger, and all that... tinting is no different, and some days, it's a worse kind of anger and frustration. so good luck! :beer

Offset the seasonality of one business with a second business that follows the same seasonal pattern..............

Save up during the summer and you'll be fine.

I won't know for sure untill I've done it.

But I've heard that residential tint is in highest demand in the winter when the low lying sun creates alot of glare.

Well I wouldn't say high demand.

The reason to get it done shifts from fading/heat to glare, but here in MN my business drops significantly when the kids go back to school and drastically around the holidays.
