I have a 2001 ford explorer 2 door with 5% tint all around and 35% on the windshield and my drunk friend put his hands all over my windshield and left finger prints on it and at night I can see them what can I use to get them off? I know not to use windx or any thing with ammonia what would be the best thing to use

Really? Because manufacturers still say to not use Windex (or products containing ammonia) because it can eat the SR coating and hurt the adhesive.

if the amount of ammonia in windex will harm the SR coating then the coating is not all that strong.

Maybe I am running on bad information, but FTI did research and had a paper on the fact of this. Straight ammonia and other strong chemicals will harm window film, but the amount in cleaners found at retail outlets will NOT harm film.
