heat gun advice

just browsing the net looking for a heat gun, what sort of heat is normally used for heat shrinking, would a gun with 2 settings of 300° and 500°C be any good?

I shrink with my gun on 1200 degrees

I've always used the cheap wagners from lowe's. about 25 bucks and I only use the high setting, which is 1000F according to the box. most last me about two years before they quit.

Steinel is the best heat gun out there IMO.

I've had mine fot about 5 years and it's still going strong.

The settings are cool, hot and hotashell....
