Sounds like you are getting a little too happy with the heatgun. As long as you keep your distance from panels and rubber trims, you should do just fine. Call it a lesson learned. Luckily I haven't been there and hopefully I won't :drevil

I bought one of those cheap heat guns at Wallmart, but I used to use just a plain hairdryer. So if you have a delicate job, I would recommend an expensive heat gun or just an ordinary hairdryer.
