Any quality companies make darker than 5%?

I know you guys hate limo tint however some states do allow you to do the windows as dark as you want on the rears on MPV's. With just 5% on the rears you can still see through it fairly easily. I think 5% over factory tinted glass is about perfect however on cars without factory tinted glass you can't do that. I know Gila makes a 2.5% but I was wondering if any quality company made a quality tint that was darker than 5%.

I remember in the 90's a 3% made I think by sunguard, oh yeah rite,, you were looking for a quality co... ,, if I remember it failed lots!

Optical Technologies makes a 3% and I love it.

Honestly though, between 3 and 5 I'd put money you couldnt tell the difference. But if it makes you warm inside then its worth having a lower number VLT.

my question would be is that 3% as on automotive glass or on clear plate glass like other films are??

5% with 70% glass would be 3.5% after all....

I guess that's about right as my Llumar 5% metered out to 4% on my truck. I was just curious if there were any quality films that were a 2.5% or something similar without doing 2 layers of 5%.

OMG....dude, 2 layers of 5% is not 2.5%!!! do the math! It comes to 0.25%!!!!!!!!!!!

put a piece of 50% with 5% and you get 2.5%.....and 50% might as well be clear for all it is worth to me...

I only stock 5%.

This way if they want 35%, I just tint the top two thirds of the window.
