Hi eveyone!

I have a question about tinting side windows. I know I'm supposed to leave a gap of about 2 mm in the top edge but what about the rest?

How much extra should I leave on the sides? Should the tint go pass the rubber?

How much extra should one leave on the bottom? Here as well should the tint pass the rubber or be just above?

Thanks!

If it were your car how big would you want the borders? I kind of like the abstract art of the bubbles in tint and the 2 tone look of 2 INCH borders.

It's that nasty wind resistance math formula that messes me up every time.

even better, why not invite a local tinter to come and help you for free?

That's the best thing I've seen on this sight in a while............... :beer .There is a whole lot of guy's that pop up on here with no location in there profile and start asking questions. And they get answers most of the time.If the local hack down the street cam to my shop asking these same questions I'd get a good laugh and tell them to leave. But if they sign up on tint dude I'm supposed to help then.I think not.I won't help the hack in my city and believe me I wont help the one's near you guy's either........sorry but I had to rant a bit............................. :twocents

2 mm?

This is industry standard.

2 mm and you'll have them all come back because they're peeling from the top.

Prevent that and install it the right way.
