Went to my new FT Job

Recommended Posts

Started at my new Government nursing job this week....New VA Hospital...They just finished building it and spent a cool 95 million bucks on construction. They spared no expense...top of the line everything. It was actually nice to see our tax dollars going to a good cause....Our veterans! For some reason as I was walking around the building all I could think about was how they really could use some tint on those windows....lol One very cool thing I noticed that all the skylights had some sort of dot matrix on them to help control glare and heat. Had direct sunlight coming through but no glare or intense heat..It almost looked like that pokadot LLumar deco film....but it definitely was embedded in the glass. Also the strangest thing I noticed was that none of the glass had security film on it. I was under the impression that all federal buildings required security film per homeland security measures.. :beer Anyways, will be back tinting a smaller commercial job in the morning then back to wearing scrubs on Monday...lol

So anybody have a clue why security film isnt mandated for this federal building?

I don't believe there is any sort of "mandate" on federal buildings having film on them :beer . If so, I need to change my marketing strategy to going into fed buildings and checking for film!
