I made a blade disposal canister out of two canned fruit tins.

Sanded the lip of both tins.

Soldered them together.

Cut a slot in the end of one can.

Presto, the cheapest safest blade disposal canister!

You should post this in the tips and technique area. I use the clear with pink top olfa blade box. The bottom is very very thick. I cut a slit in the bottom and its small enough to fit in my pouch. I never have to pull it out to break a blade off. Just stick the knife in and break it off. The down side...it will only last about 6-8 months before it ultimately cracks the case. But, if you buy these blades, save the box...and you will always have a new break off cup!!!
