Im still using my first ever one I bought, its a Bosh heatgun, has a "wheel" adjustment for the heat, not sure what the power output is, but its what im use to using. But I need a spare to be honest cos if this one broke mid job, I would be off down the shops PDQ !

I was using the challenge £19.99 from argos one until it packed up a month ago. Went to Homebase and sat on the shelf with the challenge ones was a Bosch gun at £29.99 with an adjustable heat wheel on the side. Bought it and hey presto - no problems. I went in a couple of weeks later and the same gun had dropped in price to £19.99 :cool:cool so I bought another one as back up just in case. Best to be on the safe side, nothing worse than being half way through a job and the flamin gun packs up and you haven't got a spare - mad rush to the local DIY store. :trustme

Bosch since 96 (not the same one :mad ) never done me wrong yet,I use the one with three heat settings.

I used to use Steinel but the warranty with them is a f***ing joke to say the least!!!!!!!!!! Paid nearly £100 for a Steinel heatgun and it only lasted 10 months and when I sent it back they said it was because it was used in a dusty enviroment :lol:lol f***ing idiots.Never honoured THEIR warranty so don't deal with cowboys

Tried more or less all them and found the 3 setting bosch to be the best :dunno
