I'm very new to window tinting and have currently a 08 GTI I'm trying to finish up, but the back window is kicking my... I'm self taught and have never seen the lift and pull method, which is said to be the best method if I've read the forum correctly. Can anyone discribe to me in detail how this is suppose to work? Such as do you pull the film tight or what? I should also mention I use the "Computer Cut" program to cut my film...so perhaps maybe should I just cut the film myself and go from there? Help is definietly needed if you can tell....thanks.

There are plenty of videos here that will show you how to do it...I think they are on the left side of the forum.

This might be alittle advanced for you but check out Ryk Shrink! It's in the tip of the week on the 2cd page middle column 5th one down! You need 2 heat guns but for lifting and pulling he does a great job doing that on that car! You can do it the same way with one gun! Good luck!

IMO you should hand cut and give yourself about 3-4 inches of film to grab and pull. Any of the videos out there would be better than an explanation. Check out the tip section :hmmm

Well I'm not the best at navigating this website apparently, cuz I haven't found not one video, haha. Oh well, I've read and looked at all the pics involving the lift and pull method. But do you start in the middle or edge or where? And soap and water on the glass is the best solution to use for this method, correct? I'm just lost here guys, never had to deal with a back glass quite like this, usually it's kias or chryslers I'm tiniting.
