The biggest problem here in Dallas, is that they put down mostly sand, mixed with a pinch of salt, which does nothing for the ice.

Up North they put salt on the roads, melts the ice and turns into slush, nothing more than driving on roads when it rains.

Doubt it will ever happen where just salt is used here until they realize that cars and trucks will not turn into rust buckets because of 1 or 2 weeks at the most of salt per year.

And because it's North Texas it will be eighty again in a couple of days and there will be a sand storm and there won't be rust from salt but your clear coat will get sand blasted off. :dunno
