usually we just scuff w/ sandpaper, wipe down w/ wax & grease remover then apply felt..

I have seen the felt roll off of the lower of the 2 seals sometimes.. so we will wrap it up and over the 'top' of the lower sweep blade..

I do acura's all day.. Don't do that... Just buy a felt that has a 1/4 in slices in it Cut to length.. I do them all day will no problems.. I use adhesive remover let them dry then apply.. Haven't had any problems. shouldn't need to sand. Acura fixed that problem in the newer models.

If you can feel the scratches with your finger nail they could be scratches.. and may have dirt in the felt.. many custy's are dirty...
