So I I tinted an 05 jetta for a very sweet girl....so sweet her name is Candy! LoL...anyways

she calls me couple days after the job. Her driverside switch does not work for her driver side anymore.

Passenger side switch auto doesnt work anymore. She has to hold it for it to go down. Is there a type of reset process I can try? she's gonna bring it back on thursday night for me to check out. PLEASE HELP GUYS!!!

Try this....roll window down and HOLD button for 5 seconds....then roll window up and HOLD for 5 seconds....then once more back down...glad I could help! :thumb

try that for the pass side, as for the driver's side, maybe just needs a day or two to dry out.

Try to reset windows next way:

- use key

- close all doors

- put key in driver door

- unlock and hold till all windows open

- lock and hold till all windows close

- take key out

- open car with remote on key

Try then window for auto up/down option.

Thanks for the tips fellas! I will try these out tomorrow and let u guys know how it goes!

Hate to be Mr. Negative with no advice, but I own an 05 Jetta too and they are POS cars... lots and lots of "minor" problems.

pulled the switch out and opened it up. There was some crust on the circuit board (looked like old battery crust) got some sand paper and carefully removed it. Voila! problem fixed! I was a very excited man! LoL
