how to get to the bottom of rear windscreen when its really tight

Did one today, still fairly new to tinting, mainly only tinted hatchback cars, but had a bmw in today and at the bottom of rear screen was so tight between glass and shelf. How do you guys do it, is there any better toold I need, extended squeeguee?
