Im looking for a company that makes good high quality head light and tail light tint/vinyl. I seen some from laminx. They were a bit pricey on the pre cuts. Did not know if buying bulk would be better and just do the cut outs my self. any suggestions let me know . thanks again .

i heard on the new plastic headlights when you tint it in a few months when you take it off there are tiny air bubbles of some defect you see in the plastic. Not sure if its the heat or what Anyone else heard of this?

haven't had any problems like that, I've removed film off head lights and tail lights after a yr or longer ,, comes off real easy if it's Oracal..

got a SCCA Track car in Atlanta that I'm going up to freshin up a few things for a cross country tour that he's going on starting Nov.. gotta pull the film off the head lights and do up for the trip, I'll video the removal!!! those head lights are plastic

you know come to think about it every head light I've done with anything other than clear has been plastic, only the glass head lights get the clear

It's pretty common on the plastic headlights.... they get thousands of tiny little cracks in the plastic from the heat buildup...

Same thing happens when guys try to heat them up to seperate the housings and install projector conversion kits :lol

Wow! Look's like i found a new tint! Awesome forum! I know this is a old thread and such but i have been buying bulk rolls of tail light headlight tint from http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...K%3AMESELX%3AIT

for the last month! Any how i notice you toss the name of Oracal a lot out here on the forum but the film i have been buying is not actually oracal it has some kind of japanesse or asian letters on the backing. Is that oracal? Can someone chime in please? Also what is the price you guys are paying on these rolls? I have been buying the 24"x30 feet rolls from that company on ebay for $45 with free shipping to my door. Appreciate the help, just a new guy here that does a lot of mobile tail light headlight tinting here and trying to find the best prices to get more money in my pocket!
