When i had a problem with overshrinking, it was with baby powder. I would really suggest using mdogs soap method.

Shortly after switching to mdogs soap method, using a glove and applying heat where it needs it, I went from always taking 2-3 tries on a bg, to getting them down in 1 try. This whole summer, I've only messed up 1 bg on a 95 Dodge Intrepid( huge azz window), but i actually messed up twice doing a dam wet shrink on small bgs!!...lol.

Edit: Oops, forgot about my first Camaro, a 1996, took 4 tries..... :lol2

Notice how when I got to the top and had a lot more to shrink I stopped swiping over it and just ran the heat over it for a minute. Also I blow heat under it a couple times and it kinda lifts the tint off the glass, then I go back to running the heat over it. This is the same way I do Vettes or Bugs when you need to do a lot of shrinking in one area.
