You don't need a loan to get started! Start out humble...and you will become big(if you're good).

Borrowing might be quicker, but I do my best not to borrow.

"The borrower is servant(slave) to the lender"! I've found this to be more true than you can know...

Build up your business and funds where you don't need to borrow. Then make sure you keep the appropriate cash-flow. Cash-flow is what most business don't keep up with because they use credit!

Or, you can do the instant gratification and borrow...

I didn't borrow money to get started, I used savings, and my extra money after I got started went back in to savings. If I need to pay for something I use savings, and any extra money I get goes back in to savings. My best suggestion, is to pay up front, pay on time, and be your own bank.
