Felt and inner wipers

I have '04 Acura TL and I just got the felt installed today. It looks as though, they actually cut the inside wiper to put the felt in. Now the felt is completely exposed. Is this normal procedure?

Plus, this could be my imagination, but I seem to hear more air noise than I did before from the windows. This is turning out to be a real nightmare!

I did mention that the factory put those rubber trims for insulation purposes. If they cut the bottom wiper strip from the trim and then added the felt, that might have something to do with the slight bit of noise you could be hearing from the door panels but it should be very faint if at all. Maybe you are hearing things because we mentioned it.

Don't know what to tell you. You shouldn't really see the felt strip but maybe just a little bit of the edge. It should be stuck about 1/8" below the rubber but that is just how I do it. If you are not happy, bring it back to where you had it done and see what they can do for you. Don't think you want to go back to Acura and purchase new rubber strips again.
