I had a no show yesterday. called her cell number after she was 30 minutes late. of course no one answered. so I called her cell a few minutes ago. it's only 1:30 in the morning here, she won't mind. :spit I got her answering machine and left her a nice reminder that she forgot to show for her appointment.

the way I see it, if their time is so important that they can't call and cancel, then I don't want to bother them when they're awake. cause they might be busy and I wouldn't want to waste their time.

Fellas,

About the only time I rarely get a no shower is when these inconsiderate bastards have shopped for price and they make the booking 2-3 days ahead.

How would they like it if the boot was on the other foot? Turn up and I'm not in.

Gee Titan that really takes some beating mate. I wonder if you might have to consider employing one of Leo's appropriately clad tinters? They'd be beating the door down . :spit

I hate customers who make a booking and don't turn up. Happened again today. You ring, the bod is not there, can't contact him, mobile off and you are useless as ***s on a bull.:lol

Here are lot of such cases... And other idea. My competitors ask to call somebody to book place. I am fully booked (virtually). Customers calling. I tell 'em I am fully booked You have to wait... Customers go to competitotrs. :lol:lol:spit Such f..cky things are here...Capitalism.

try to do a mobile job and the customer not be there. call them and they say they areon the way? WTF? on the way? I am not the damn cable guy, I don't give a rangeof time that I will be there, I said 10:00am I mean 10:00 am. it woudl be really annoying if I didn't have a PS2 in Mobile Van :lol and I have affiliate shops that I travel to and I had to make them take a deposit to hold appointments to ensure that I don't travel 30+ miles for nothing. I say try a deposit thingy, it works for me, have not had a problem yet.

:bingo

I've said the same in another thread... try it.. you'd be surprised how many people are wiling to pay some $ upfront.. helps you to weed out the potential no shows... in some countries, you might like to label them as advanced payments rather than deposits which may be refundable... once its in your pocket.. you dont wanna have to give it back :lol

Our shop uses deposits, and it works great. We get a $25 minimum deposit on ALL labor, and have them sign a copy of the reciept. the "legal" part of the reciept says something to the extent of: "If your appointment is not kept or cancelled with at least 24 hrs notice, we reserve the right to keep xx% of your deposit". not sure exactly what it says, but you get the idea. we do this for ALL labor, tint & audio installs. it definetely weeds out the losers. I think in the past 3 years at this shop, I've only had a handful of people complain about it. I'd definetely go that route if you're getting a lot of no-shows. even over the phone, we try to get a deposit one way or another.
