using suntek hp again....with regrets!

Recommended Posts

First off, there is no way Suntek HP is a 1.5 mil window film...maybe 1.2 at best. How do I know?, because I've used close to a dozen hps and NONE of them are as flimsy and shiaty to work with. I had fingering on the BG and had to chase them on side glasses on an very easy Dodge Advenger. I ended up putting Value tint sirius on it with NO follow up needed.

I actually used a little Global HP recenlty, which I hadn't used in 3 years and i did a couple cars with no problems. Besides the intall issues with Suntek HP, the color is uneven and I dont like the orange peel look. Also, i hate there warranties, they say the hp is not covered by fading, but their carbon is covered by their so called "no fade warranty.. :lol

suntek adhesive is just not really that great. i love the sirius film...wink wink.

I just realized that all the trouble i had with fingering was b/c of suntek. I think because their film is so stretchy, you can squeege the top edge with it off a tad and then you'll get fingering. I never had this problem once i switched to thicker a film like True Black, which IMO intalls just like Global HP.

havent used the film but maybe its your squegee pattern, or maybe climate changing has effects.

but i tried some aswf a long long time ago that would finger and finger and finger

After using thicker films, that install on side glasses with ease, I can't go back to something so flimsy. I heard recenlty that their film quality has went down... I agree. One other thing, I'm used to dealing with film mannys that are upfront, like EWF and Value tint. Ahwile back i got defective film from suntek and I got the famous, "You are the only one"... yea right.
