Okay, so Ive taken ever step that I can think of to get the dirt control minimized in my shop. Do I need to mount my peeling board to a wall, I have been using an easel type roll around board and I dont know if it is at to much of an angle and trapping dirt while peeling, should the peeling glass be straight up and down? Im lost for answers on this dirt control

Thank you

Mount your peel board vertical, squeegee off the peel board and give it a mist coat, place your film below where you normally would peel your liner off with the film side towards you and wet it and squeegee it from the top down and pull it off and turn it so the liner is now facing you and place it above "were you would normally peel your liner from" mist it and squeegee from the top down and then mist the liner again to keep the static from happening and you should be good to go if you have clean water and your window is clean.

This works good if your film is extremely contaminated.

The other issue is that our shop is not that big and the owner runs a detailing shop also, I schedule my appointments around the detailing, but I honestly

just think you cannot run both those type of business out of one shop..but he seems to believe that the contamination is coming from something else, as the

one who actually does the tinting here, i disagree..lol

So im wondering is there anyone else on here that does multiple things out of their shop and how do they control the dirt issue

Thank you

air movement in the shop is going to make for dirt much more than what is going on. If the bay door is open or there are fans blowing then you will have dirt, period! I tint in some of the nastiest places and control the contam pretty well most of the time....

There is detailing in the shop I'm at. We are 2 separate business under one roof and they complement each other well. The only issue is the air movement and dust that the detailers kick up. I constantly squeegee off my rinse board and flush the glass I am about to tint then move quickly when it comes to installing. Luckily my jobs still turn out clean.

I own a detail shop and window tint shop.I run them both out of the same building! The biggest problem is air movement carrying debris through the air.
