Has any one ever tried a emery Board instead of a file. I can not seem to shave to save my life and when I file it feels ruff so Thinking of using a emery board any one ever tried one.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Can any one direct me to a video that shows the proper shaving and file technique.

The shaving with a exacto is just 3 angles but can take practice. Most common mistake is to much pressure against the glass when shaving. The emery board would prolly put off debris which will get under the film using Murphy's law.

Cheers

Don't you have my DVD"s? :thumb

Here is what I do. Tint the glass normally, let it set up until it tacks up, take your olfa knife and cut the top edge, then take a fine file and file the edges, only going in the up direction. I hold the top and bottom as to not screw up the film (ask me how I know). I take of the little bit of film and some glass when this is done creating a smooth edge. I run my finger along the top edge of the glass and see if I can feel the tint in the bevel of the glass, if no, then Im good.
