this week has been the quietest week all year. very few calls, i don't do dealer work though im not fast enough for that nor will i work for peanuts they pay in my area.

Dropped dealers years ago and have never missed the angst that they put you tinters through (eg. car has got to go out tonight, wait 60 days for payment, what do you mean you can't pick it up. etc..)

Been very busy for June and all repeat and referral work.

Just creamed a nice flat glass job this morning, 8 panes worth a cool $2,600 @ $100 per sq.M. :twocents

Phone has been going ballistic all day.

i'm pretty lucky, i never have to wait 60 days my longest account is 30 day's but they pay me around 7-8 grand a month so i chill, my other dealerships pay every 15 days which is awesome..

It's my theory that ppl who have a problem with dealership work....don't have them trained well enough. :lol

I love my dealers. I never have to wait more than 30 days, and they always work around my schedule. If for some reason they have an emergency, they are willing to pay more to have it done at their convenience. :hmmm Also, they bring all cars to me....not the other way around. :thumb

It's also my theory that dealerships train tinters to be their lap dogs.........they tell them how high to jump and they will whilst they watch tint shop owners grovel and bow to their every whim.

I know of not one tinter doing dealer work here that gets paid what he honestly feels his work is worth....that's if they're honest enough to admit it. :evilgrin

The trend in Australia nowadays is to tint in house.

Dealers don't like mileage going on new cars and the convienience on site is better as more than one pre delivery person or service mechanic can work on the vehicle at the same time.
