I will almost always put the film up and precut the top and vertical edge, leave the bottom long, pull it off the glass, clean as usual, find somewhere to hang the film to remove liner and go about it as you normally would.

I am a bit curious as to why wouldn't you go ahead and cut the

bottom since you already have it up? :dunno I am asking because I

do it the same way as you exept I precut all edges. Seems to

make for a cleaner install IMO.

Just because it gives m a bit more lee way when Im climbing a ladder with both hands full, if the film is going to drag on something , it is going to be the bottom when I position it into place and that is what will be cut off anyway. No right way no wrong, just works for me.

:spit I always leave the bottom long too, 90% of the homes I do have the stipple finish on the ceilings so I always kick up dust and it will either go on top or bottom. Gives a little breathing room. Plus slip solution seems to follow that tail and drip down to the floor instead of running down the frame and on the wall.

Not a bad idea, may have to try it for myself. :lol2
