Sunroof issue

Recommended Posts

Did a Solara for a guy, also did the sunroof. All I did was close the sunroof and apply the film. Didn't apply a bunch of pressure with the squeegee (never felt anything shift at all). Anyway, he just called and said it won't work... then put down the phone and tried opening it while applying some pressure with his hand and said it's off the track or something. Does that even happen? This happened to anyone else? I don't get it.

He should of brought it back without touching it. I would never be liable for any damage that you tried to fix without giving me a chance to fix. Who knows what he has done to it trying to get it to work after leacing your shop. Could of made minimal damage turn into large costly damage.

if you did not open or close the sunroof to tint it. Then you can't say if it was even in working order when you tinted the window.

I would have the custy bring the car in and see if it is just out of adjustment. It could be that the sunroof is just out of sinc which will cause some sunroof's not to work at all. If anything is broken I would blame the custy for forcing the roof open. Not caused by installing film to the window. :dunno

You better get your azz to Brad's shop....and FAST brother! :ohcrap

:poke:lol

:lol all within a month. What the hell eh.

This one, well, I didn't do anything :dunno Closed the roof, put on the film (even only wet the film, didn't soak the whole roof, just cleaned with minimal water). Don't see how that can cause anything :lol

I have a feeling it had an issue before.

Oh hell... just realized these things usually come in threes. What's next? :lol

Wait, right, I'm not superstitious, phew.

If it was open before you started the job then closed it to finish the job.Sounds like it wasn't working properly before you started it.
