Taco_Conch
Does anyone know of a tool or technique for tinting behind high mount brake lights? Most of the cars I tint have the light cover built into the rear deck. This requires you to remove the whole back seat and sometimes side panels just to get the deck out. I've tried using a slimfoot slammer but I just can't extract enough water with it since the brake light hinders any leverage. I've also tried a bulldozer that has a hard rubber end, but still doesn't work well enough. I know the brake light cutout is really popular, but I want to make my tint jobs stand out. Any suggestions?
Underground
Got a certain car in mind? Most high mounts I can think of get removed.
The ///Man
Yeah, what type for car. If there is a frit, I tint to the frit. If there isn't there is usually an easy way to get the brake light down. Only exception might be the Challenger or G8 where you can just pull it down. Taco_Conch
Mostly chevrolets. Like the Malibu, it has a very tall brake light cover, but it's built into the rear deck. Also the new camaros. On the camaros you can get away with using the slimfoot, but a small bubble showed up on one where I didn't extract enough water. (Wasn't contamination) So now I stick with the brake light cutouts.
Underground
So wait, you mean lights in the lower deck lid? I thought you were talking about brake lights that were up top. I use a bulldozer on most lower third brake lights that cant be removed.

Those pull pretty easy... but I hate how inconsistent they are. One will fit a Bulldozer... next one is right against the glass. Irritating. Taco_Conch
The bulldozer really doesn't do it for me. Doesn't get enough water out and getting it out from behind the brake light can be troublesome as well. It messes up the tint if you don't slide it out just right.
