1/4 glass on Maxima, Sentra, etc.

Recommended Posts

Alright, I feel the need to add something possibly helpful instead of my usual comments. :thumb

This is a tip for older Nissan cars for the most part. If you trim the rubber on the 1/4 glass, you can follow the pics step by step. If you don't, you can use a thin piece of black speaker wire instead and get the same result.

First- Trim the rubber on the straight side.

Second- spray slip on trimmed piece and glass. With a bone tool push the piece into the area where the moulding is tight to the glass.

You should now have a nice gap to easily clean and install the film.

Hey Tim. Thats a great tip :thumb

When I do smaller quarter glasses like this it can also help to peel you liner. Spray the film then replace the liner back onto the film. Once you transfer the film to the window. Try sliding the film onto the window.

This allows you more freedom to handle the film, and also protects against pciking up contamination while getting the film into position to be squeggeed out. :lol
