Why do you see so many of these cars with 1' of exposed rubber.

I tried an old trick I had used on other applications and had decent success on this one. with a little more effort I feel I could get it perfect.

Thanks for the info but I'd rather not remove the glass too risky. cool thread he made though.

if you are worried about breaking that glass, then you have no worries. Tempered glass is strong in big sheets. A small piece of tempered glass like that you could dam near throw on the ground and it might not break.

Do you normally puul door panel's on cars to tint them? If so You are only a few min's from removing the quarter anyways. Now if you don't remove door panel's then it would be alot more work just for doing 2 small windows. If I'm not going to remove this window then I will trim the gasket back a bit. Only the very tip of the gasket is really pressed against the glass. If you neatly trim that off you can slide the film behind the gasket, and hard it out using a gator blade. This also works very well. :thumb
