I'm new on the forum and I see alot of you use expel, nano but didn't see durashield.

I've been using it for a while and I must say it's a really good product. It's tough, very scratch resistant, super clear finish.

You can lift it up even 15 minutes later to take out a dust or crap that you missed out and just let it soak a minute and pallet back down again perfect finish. Even if adhesive sides touch together you can seperate carefully and save your kit.

Did I miss out on a problem or will I encounter some problems soon? Have any of you tried this product and experienced problems,I'd love to know cause I can switch to expel anytime with my distributor?

Looking forward to hearing your feedback.

By the way this forum is awesome!!!! Lots of pertinent info.

I would really like to know more about durashield also, but only for doing full hoods till the Nano is available in 60. Anyone use on a car that they can check on it over time?

Durashield Appears to be a alright film from our experience. The issues we've encountered is that the film cannot be buffed if scratches do appear(which they always do), and there are alot of defects in the film. We currently only use Durashield if someone requests it. Hope that helps!

Used Durashield for a few years. Scratches easy and will leave a mark like every other film even after initial squeegee. 15 min later the film is tacked down and there is no way in hell your pulling a spot without a mark or replacing. :nope

Its got one of the best if not the best finish out of any film out there. Its a very strong film. More so then anything I have seen in the past few years from everyone. It scratches real easy if you hit a dry spot with the cloth when cleaning. Same goes for installation with squeegee scratches. Needs lots of water on the surface. It gets real soft in gummy when hot. This means no cleaning and is more prone to stains from bugs in the heat. It does not have a top coat so requires a lot of upkeep to keep a nice finish. Only waxes and quick detailers seem to work on this film. Mild cleaners seem to leave dull spots in the film. It is the smoothest film I have yet to see. The stuff is clear and looks better then any film to date on a white car. Any car for that matter. Holds its color well too. Comes with a cap sheet that is a nightmare to remove. It might as well be welded on.

This is not a bad film. In todays standards its pretty damn good. Not going to be for everyone. You need to know what your doing since the film is so clear and sticky. Otherwise your looking at a marked up mess.

Done lots of full hoods with the film. As long as the customer takes care of it then the film holds up just as well as any other. It does hold its clarity better then the rest and is much smoother then any other film out there. Just needs to be taken care of due to the lack of a top coat.

Sounds like the same story... Has good attributes, has bad attributes...

If we could just get all the film companies to get together & merge the best properties of each product... (Or if Avery will JUST MAKE 60"!!!)

I second that motion - AVERY NANO in 60 INCH!!!! I guess the corporate giant does not listen to it's customers... I remember when 3M asked the 3M installers 8 years ago would we use 55"-60" film. We all said YES and today, we still only have 48" format film.

3M just bought Venture Shield. 2 birds with one stone. Eliminate a competitor, & get 60" film at the same time.

When you lift film after 15 minutes to take a crap out try leaving alcohol solution for two minutes before wiping squeedgee, done it many times and works real well no marks of any kind (after a day or two of course). On the other hand temperatures dont get really hot for a long time out here so............
