I've always been taught the school of thought to never use a drill on a door panel even with a light setting on the clutch. I can't count how many times i've felt a screw start to spin doing it by hand let alone with a drill.

My list is pretty short, and its all from harbor freight since I tend to leave a tool under a floor mat or something :thumb

Orange handled pick set- Free

Yellow panel removal set- $5

100pc security/bit assortment- $6

Manual window clip tool- $3

Screwdriver set- Free

Craftsman nut driver set- 10 and 7mm most commonly used

I also find with a lot of the newer GM's you need t25/30/35 bits as well for the big screws behind the handles.

I don't use the fancy clip tools, i just start one corner with a yellow removal tool and yank the rest of it off. If a clip breaks its no biggie I have tons of extras around and replace it. I don't have time to spend 5 minutes on each panel with the tool doohickey trying to make sure i get it on every one. 95% of them come right off with no problems just pulling on it.

A red gas rag slid under and then around the window crank instantly removes the "Jesus" clip and it stays in the

rag instead of flying across the shop (hence the name Jesus clip).

i just try and catch it by putting my hand over the side where it'll shoot. I'll have to try the rag trick.
