Parts for classic cars - hard to find and expensive, or easy and cheap

Recommended Posts

I really wanna get a 68 Ford Mustang Coupe.... I'm hoping to get one that's in pretty good shape... but when I need parts to make repairs will they be hard to find or can I get stuff like that from the local parts store??

Depends on the part, scope out the forums and ebay.

Mustangs are fairly easy to come by parts since they were so mass produced and have such a huge following. The circulation parts magazines will stick you since they are for the retail consumer, if you are good at hunting and networking you'll be fine.

locally in illinois Mustang Corral has almost everything you'd ever need eva. they ship stuff out, they have new parts and old parts they are a fairly large company and only specialize in mustangs. they also do repairs and rebuilds, and have a mustang junk yard as well. Was up there monthly when I had my stang
