Forget about wet testing. Shrink your piece, then trim to fit and final shrink small areas that need it.

I just like to be sure I have it right before I get it on the BG in the car.

are you using 1 mil window film? Get a good shrinking 1.5 mil like ATR or Suntek. Forget the wet test. Keep at it

to hot would be my guess , i use both MN and RN and their not thin ...

both 1.5 ...

Blackout may be on to something.

Its easy to crease during wet testing...I know...I've done it.

I still wet check but do it with a black turbo and go slowly!

If you're dry shrinking then skip the wet test. I don't even smooth out when I shrink. I just shrink it, clean, install. When you get more experience you will find there are a lot of unnecessary steps

I believe that but I haven't done enough yet to be 100% confident when done shrinking

I have a BG out of an old mustang I may practice on this week. I will try the shrink then skip the wet test and see how it turns out. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. Thanks again for all of the help!
