I need some help with a estimate on what a customer will save on energy. Its a small commercial job that get the west sun in the afternoon here in florida, about 350sq ft. My question is that does anyone know of a website or place that can calculate an exact idea of what they would save per month? Im going to be putting Sun Tek ULVDS 50 or 40 on clear single pane windows. Or do you guys have an average of what customers normally save IE 10%? This customer is a pain and is worried about her ROI really bad.

We have a program that can do a load study and calculate ROI with window film. You have to get information such as HVAC sytem, exposure of glass and some more information. We do this for our customers on larger projects, but to answer your question yes there are programs that will help you with energy savings.

350 sq ft is too small for most of the BIM simulations to be accurate :dumbass

Go with average kWh reductions per sq ft. Ask your rep to give you that info.

yes it would be difficult to get a good figure on that small of a project, was just informing him that there are programs out there to help calculate energy savings.
