the blurred look is due to the backing paper. Similar to PPF. Only with 8300 its thinner and has an aggressive adhesive so once applied and stretched it evens out and is smooth.

Oracal 8300 works really well,

use alcohol to clean lens before you sand them, green scuff pads!

Lightly scuff lenses till they have dull look ,no dull look= paint wont stick! Tape up reverse lights if you want them clear, first coat very light to stick on lenses wait ten minutes then next coat, after 3 or 4 coats it will smooth out, more coats = Darker lenses .. let try at least 1 hour before handling and install.

money time lol

oracal is a film not a paint or spray on coating.

Ok I get the Oracal 8300 DK Gray 073/ Middle Gray 074.

Is it the punched 15" or unpunched 24" you guys/gals use most?

Does everyone use the 2-1 alcohol mix (about 70%) as stated or do some use the same mix as window film?

I use 24"....but that is all I ever order in vinyl. And the 70% I mentioned is the strength of the alcohol.

Last odd ball question about this, I hope. Where the hell do you find 70% isopropyl alcohol in bigger quantity? Most of the time its only sold in 16oz bottles. :grouphug
