flat glass & perf install

I am trying to work up a bid for a few local companies for flat glass tint and window perf. It is installation only, they are providing the mats, both high quality products the Flat glass film is from LuLu i believe, and the perf is clear focus. Anyways I really have no way to determine how much a sq ft for installation for the flat glass or the perf. They want separate bids for each install. Any advice or idea what I should charge for the gig?

for the film, i would charge your normal rate

for the perf, 1.5-2x normal rate because vinyl is not fun to install on large windows

I did alot of this kind of work and I charged by the sq ft of course and also had a minimum charge as well. Gun Slinging can be a very profitable addition to your biz just make sure you do good work and are dependable. I would be at a washington and a half a sq and a minimum of a benjamin and a half whichever comes first. I am not saying anything about your work just saying that quality is important as well as being dependable and doing what you say you will and fixing something when you mess up. Do these things and you will have a customer for many many years, dont just look at it as a 1 time deal.

do you you know what the bid would be if it were your materail ??? subtract the materail ...

not sure of the market in your area, but if I want to win jobs like that were I live. I have to dam near do them for nothing like what I would normally charge per sqft.

you just have to look at it like something is better then nothing.
