What Pay?

Recommended Posts

during the years I spent working for someone else. I made 35% to 40%.

One of the shops I worked for didn't deduct for auto but deducted film cost for flat glass.

And every shop I worked at I was required to make appointments answer phones calls, and deal with all the other general shop stuff as part of my daily job.

I think that 40% is really fair for a good professional tinter. If a guy is working for 20% to 25%. He won't work for to long before he goes elsewhere. Making 35% to 40% was plenty enough to keep me around. I mainly went on my own when the last shop I worked for started giving me less tint work and more BS work to make their pockets fatter. :eyebrows
